Thomas Harlow, Hair Stylist              www.TheThomasReport.com

Thomas “Tommy Gene” Harlow began teaching hair color in 1996 for Redken 5th Avenue. Since that time he has repeatedly had his work shown on local television stations KING 5, KIRO 7, KOMO 4, and KCPQ 13 as well as Seattle Magazine. Thomas was the national winner of the L’Oreal Pure Vision Styling contest. He has also worked on the national level with Seventeen Magazine, CNN, and recording artists Mandy Moore and the Backstreet Boys. Thomas has facilitated two major hair color launches in the Pacific Northwest and has conducted numerous training sessions for many private and national chains throughout Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada. He is currently teaching a number of workshops, including The Color Guide, SHINE class and The Ultimate Pony Tail Workshop.


Deanna Heinrich, Recruitment and Interview Specialist

Deanna Heinrich is the Senior Human Resource Manager for Fisher Communications, Inc. with over 1000 employees at TV and radio stations in five western states. Her expertise is in Recruitment and Learning & Development. She has held various HR positions in her career with organizations such as; the Washington State Liquor Control Board, Shurgard Storage, NEXTEL, AT&T, SUPERVALU International, and began her career in HR at Macy’s. Deanna is also an adjunct faculty member of Highline Community College having created their on-line HR Certification course. Deanna is currently serving on the University of Washington Alumnae Board, and the Business-Technology Advisory Committee for Highline Community College. She is also the Northwest Human Resource Association’s (NHRMA) Professional Development Director, with primary responsibility for the groups “HR Foundations” conferences held annually in Alaska, Oregon and Washington. Deanna earned her M.A. in Organizational Development from the University of Phoenix, and has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington, as well as a certificate in Governmental Leadership from the UW’s Evans School of Public Affairs.


Victor Hernandez, Personal Trainer                 www.PowerUpSeattle.com

Victor Hernandez is a certified personal trainer who specializes in strength and conditioning. He has an exceptional understanding of physical anatomy and the exercises necessary to trigger the hormonal responses that promote strength. He adopted a lifestyle of fitness and nutrition over 20 years ago when he ventured into high school sports. He then recognized the value of athletic and strength training in improving performance, physique and health. In addition to performance and weight loss training, Victor practices various nutritional routines for different phases of training. His programs have customized meal plans that maximize improvement over time.Victor holds a B.A. degree in Business Finance from Western Washington University and a variety of training certifications including NASM, NCSF, NASM-PES, CPR, and APEX personal training.


Lorraine Howell, Media Skills Training              www.MediaSkillsTraining.com

Lorraine Howell started Media Skills Training in 1998 after 12 years as a television news and talk show producer in the San Francisco Bay Area. She coaches top executives and professionals on how to be more effective when speaking to the media or making public presentations. Lorraine is a specialist in message development, presentation skills, media interview skills, and crisis communications. Her clients include Starbucks Coffee Company, Microsoft WIO & EIO, REI, Group Health Cooperative, Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center, and dozens more. Her book “Give Your Elevator Speech a Lift!” is a step-by-step guide through her proven process for creating a winning elevator speech. Lorraine’s method helps eliminate the verbal clutter when answering the question “What do you do?” She is a Cum Laude graduate from the University of Washington, Phi Beta Kappa. Lorraine is also a member of Women in Communications, Women Business Owners, eWomen Network, Public Relations Society of America, the National Speakers Association, and the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce.


Carrie Krueger, Networking Maven

Carrie Krueger is Director of Communications for Seattle Storm, our own 2010 WNBA champion women’s basketball team.  Previously, she was Vice President of Content for Jobfully.  As a career counselor and job search consultant, Carrie helps people match their skills and passions to fulfilling work and overcome obstacles in order to find the right job. With a specialty in social media, she emphasizes using networking, brand and channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter and blogging to showcase expertise, connect and generate job leads.  Carrie has a master’s degree in Journalism and was the executive producer for KIRO TV news in Seattle. She helped launch ABCNews.com, did a stint in online learning and was Director of Content Development at Expedia. Journalist, career coach, social media strategist, writer, networker, mentor, media maven, Carrie passion is to inform, inspire and interact.


Rebecca Lynne, Makeup Artistry             www.RebeccaLynneMakeupArtist.com

Rebecca Lynne has been a makeup artist for more than 20 years, working with film and TV stars, to business titans and government leaders, including actresses Jessica Biel and America Ferrera, CEO’s Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, as well as Governor Chris Gregoire and U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke. One of the highlights of her career was working for five years on the CBS Emmy award winning TV series “Northern Exposure,” chalking up more than 100 episodes. She also worked as a makeup artist on the television series “The Fugitive” for CBS. Rebecca is known for her excellence in beauty makeup and has also instructed courses on personal development and modeling, as well as serving as an ‘appearance consultant’ to Seattle television stations, KOMO 4, KING 5, KIRO 7, and KCPQ 13. She has been a contributor to the “Seattle Times” as a writer for beauty articles and as a beauty expert for makeover features. Rebecca currently works as a freelance makeup artist specializing in television, video, film, still photography, celebrities and events.


Tiffany Maskiell, Makeup Artist

Tiffany Maskiell has been in the beauty industry for more than 20 years, developing her eye as a makeup artist on local movie and TV productions, working on celebrity head shots, and salon photo shoots. She’s worked as a National Artist for Lancome Cosmetics, and with the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Tiffany has also been the featured artist for several department store makeup and skin product brands. She added teaching to her repertoire several years ago, and loves sharing her knowledge and tricks of the trade with others.


Dr. Julie Miller, Business Writing that Counts!

Dr. Julie Miller, founder of Business Writing That Counts!, is a business writing expert, author, speaker, and trainer. Over the past thirty years, Dr. Miller and her team of certified business-writing trainers have helped more than 600,000 professionals achieve their personal and professional goals by reducing writing time while increasing productivity. Her “lean” writing philosophy challenges you to think about writing and writing production in a completely new way. Dr. Miller serves on the board of governors of the University of Southern California, is an advisor for Junior League of Seattle and Women Business Owners, sits on the board of Friends of the Orphans, and belongs to the Seattle Rotary. She was awarded the 2008 Women Business Owners (WBO) Excellence Award, the Helen Thayer, Woman of the Year Award in 2002, and been voted Volunteer of the Year twice for her work with the YMCA. Dr. Miller earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Seattle University and undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern California.


Jen Mueller, Fox Sports News Northwest                   talksportytome.com

Jen Mueller, creator and founder of Talk Sporty to Me, is rarely at a loss for words. Her passion for talking and sports led to a career in sports broadcasting. She joined the staff at Fox Sports News Northwest in 2006, after spending 5 years at the Seattle NBC affiliate KING 5. Jen currently provides content for Mariners All Access and Cougars All Access, in addition to working on Mariners pre and post game broadcasts, and serving as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball games. Jen is also the sideline radio reporter for the Seattle Seahawks and spent 10 years as a high school football official.Her work with all levels of athletes and coaches taught her the importance of using good communication to develop strong working relationships. That knowledge led Jen to launch Talk Sporty to Me in 2009. The company’s mission is to “inspire confidence and conversation through sports.” She uses regular blog posts and interactive presentations to spread the word and empower others to speak more confidently.


Bron Richards, Leadership Consultant

Bronwyn Richards is a leadership consultant who works with teams and leaders in a wide range of industries. Her passion is to work with smart, bright people who want to have more satisfying careers, and want to be more effective in their day-to-day interactions with others.  She creates highly relevant content for workshops, and focuses attention on ways that people can develop greater levels of trust with one another to address workplace issues. She shows teams the importance of defining their values, and helps individuals to capitalize on their natural strengths, resulting in a stronger, more positive workplace culture.Bronwyn Richards has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science, with an emphasis in Management and Consulting, from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS).
