Solopreneur Curriculum
Course 1: Introduction to Solopreneurship (3 classes)
Tuition: $295 (plus $50 for books and materials)
An overview of solopreneurship and what it’s like to be one. The weekly, 3-hour classes cover:
- Overview of entrepreneurship, solopreneurship and new ways of working
- Assessment of goals and personal strengths
- Reality check – is solopreneurship for you?
- Inventory of personal skills, interests and capabilities
- Identification and assessment of business ideas
Course 2: Solopreneur Bootcamp (12 classes)
Tuition: $995 (plus $100 for books and materials)
Students meet weekly in class (and more often outside of class) to refine their business ideas and develop a comprehensive launch plan. The curriculum is based on proven business practices and techniques and taught by experienced entrepreneurs. Major program segments include:
- Product definition
- Market and customer analysis
- Competitive analysis
- Pricing
- Business model analysis
- “Go to market” and sales plan
- Business start-up and operations plan
- Financial projections and funding plan
Solopreneur Advisory Groups (ongoing)
After graduation, solopreneurs work together in groups of 6 to 8 to implement their business plans. Peers hold each other accountable and help:
- Review progress to plan
- Offer support during difficult periods
- Share business leads
- Collaborate on business opportunities
